Facilities
The Van Buren Park Beach is located at the southeastern most point of Van Buren Park. It is a small eastern facing strip of shoreline which is open to the public for swimming from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 10:00 am to 8:00 pm in normal conditions.
The beach capacity is 50 people and is monitored by park staff during the swimming season. There is a swim line with buoys which delineates the swimming area. No lifeguard is on duty and swimmers enter the water at their own risk. It is recommended that swimmers stay within the swim line.
Individuals must pay entry fees or hold a valid Van Buren Park Pass to visit the beach.
